averagely subpar. Has no redeeming qualities once we move past the initial threat of "bets"; every time else EVERYTHING will go the most optimal way for the protagonist. Side characters are shallow and one dimensional. Events and villains have no brains attached and exist solely to serve as some surrogate for reader animosity so we can root for the protagonist. There are no stakes. No story. This is without a doubt a story of all time. The equivalent of gluten free bread. Edible, sure, but tasteless, kinda ahh, and ultimately the sum of its many imperfections makes a frankly shit meal.
