Why the fuck does he keep asking for the priest
Everyone already knows what happened
The master has made it more than clear that hes trying to cover it up
MC gave them the opportunity to follow the law and get it treated correctly. And if he had taken the offer, then would be signifying that he accepted their "resolution". And this sort of resolution is not uncommon in law, either advanced more more simple. Essentially it's a blood price, and it's dictated by the effective leader of the city.
Advantages of all this: 1) Falcon Sword can't lie between itself anymore. They all know that they attempted murder. And that it was preplanned. And that it was a particularly heinous murder (death by larva consumption). Guild leader and Guild receptionist now know this explicitly too. No more "we're the good guys" here. 2) And they don't have the face saving self-justification of "the wronged accepted our repayment of what we did, so the matter is settled". So to the degree that they can burn with guilt, they will.
And now MC absolutely has a legit reason to take revenge on all of Falcon Sword and on the Guild. Guild Leader has effectively declared "Might Makes Right" -- so MC has every justification to follow that same rule and exact
whatever retribution he sees fit.
