Wait so, is Saki the Princess?
I think the "Village's Princess" is referring to the other four-ear swordswoman whose name escapes me and is currently captured by Bega.

Sort of the whole chain of fate thing, she failed to protect the princess, so she teaches and saves Saki instead, and Saki winds up saving the Princess from Bega in return.

Karma is approaching fast and is wielding lightning!
No, they're calling her "himegimi" which just means "daughter of high ranking noble". "Princess" is just the shorthand I decided to use because "Lady" doesn't quite carry the same connotations.
It is funny, how oft the "high ranking daughter" ends up translated as princess and yet the setting has actual princesses etc, making it a little bit confusing at times, when characters are talking about the "princess" character in third person and then in the same bloody sentence actually refer to a royal princess also just as a princess.
For all the long history of aristocracy in Europe, they never really bothered with proper titles for the high-ladies, since they very rarely actually inherited any titles. Amusing that it would show up in translations of far eastern fiction inspired by our history.

I do not read this series to get Wuxia flashbacks.
That is, content with clearly irredeemable villains, that are such pieces of shit, they only exist to rile up the readers, to yell like little dumb goblins "kill em! torture! death isn't enough!".

Personally, this was a waste of a chapter. I can retell it from my sleep, that's how derivative these plot points are.
We are only missing the moment where the villain goes: "YOU DARE??".

Honestly, this villain either didn't need to exist, or it was just redundant to invest so much in him, in order to give Saki an arc.
