This world has a lot more, but 'modern' magic users mostly use 6 (fire, water, air, earth, light, dark) because they're easy to observe and understand.

@dloc Both water and Earth increase your defense, both light and darkness increase your five sense so if both wind and lightning increase your speed it is not unbelievable. But also take note that Saki use Puchinov knowledge of magnetic propulsion increase her speed so there is a good chance that speed is not the property of lightning ))
