Its a shame how bad the writing is.

>the prince is deliberately written to be a stereotypical idiot just to get readers mad at him

>everyone else is a pure 10/10 good person with no selfish desires at all

>MC has been told multiple times that the captain likes her, but she keeps playing the "omg i didnt know!!!" card and even asked him to accompany her to the ball because she wants someone familiar there to feel comfortable

>MC is of course, a pure 10/10 good person who has no selfish desires or thoughts at all and its just an "accident" or "misunderstanding" that she keeps leading the poor guy on

Which then results in a generic story where the MC gets pampered by flawless men while there is a stereotypical idiot guy who exists for the sole purpose for the readers to get mad at.

Is it really so hard to write characters that feel human, instead of perfect robots? When you have all these pure, flawless characters that never do anything wrong, are always selfless and never even have any selfish thoughts at all, the word "bullshit" keeps coming to mind.

Gah! I really appreciate the updates. Do not get me wrong but I honestly am not interested in Aira even though she did not do anything wrong. I wonder when the translated manga reach the novel arcs.. 🤔

I have never been mad at a Prince before. That Prince have some serious issues going in his mind. Imagine judging someone because of their looks?! The fvck is that?! Are you a phedo or something?! Aria is 16 yrs old bitch! And you have a freaking fiancé. Urgh.

The problem I have with the manga is how it seems the side stories are more interesting.

A depressed, anxious, and terrified false saint is summoned to a world she is struggling to adapted to the local rules and social scene while an egotistical prince emotionally manipulates her. The prince's fiance is originally dismissive of the false saint, especially in light of the rumors of the new girl getting close to her fiance, but after speaking to another realizes the girl needs help... only for the prince to jealously assume this was a slight against his new love.

Liz's and Aria's struggles seen in maybe three chapters is more interesting than the entirety of Sei's story. I don't think Sei and her story is necessarily bad so much as it is bland. The writing honestly seems more in tune with a slice of life manga, but we are continually told the stakes are higher.

I dont think Aria and Liz’s struggle is more interesting than Sei’s because honestly it’s just so generic. I like Sei and how her part of the story is more peaceful while hinting at more to come.

Honestly, I don't know about this one anymore :( I used to really love this manga, and it was one of the stories that really got me into isekai. But now, I'm starting to realize that the plotline is way too generic, and the cast of characters doesn't make up for the plot. The characters are cleanly split between "annoyance" and "saintly" and right now, the crown prince is the only one in the "annoying" half. Everyone else is just a literal breathing saint, and the only problems are caused by the crown prince's fault. I can't even tell what the clear plot of this story is. To knock sense into the crown prince? I hope this story gets better, as Sei's development early on in the manga was alright. It was nice seeing her develop confidence. I'd really hate to drop this story :'( Thank you for translating though!

In defense of Sei, she's an adult and handles herself well in a new world. She did her best to avoid any drama and live her own life. The only downside I have is that she didn't push herself to meet Aira. You would think that you want to keep a connection with a person from the same world and same place as you.

In regards to the latest chapter, it feels more shoujo than josei...I hope the author doesn't keep it that way for the rest of the story. Not a fan of Aira's side of the story. I came for Sei, not Aira.

to quote @naturalwinter

" Not a fan of Aira's side of the story. I came for Sei, not Aira."

maybe if they had done something with her earlier on, but for me it's just an interruption in the story of Sei. If this arc lasts long I'll probably drop it for awhile and wait for the arc to be over. Not saying that Aira arc / story is good or bad but I just have no interest in it.
