Yo retard, you think those exam golems are cheap? I wonder if some unfortunate examiners have to have pay cut for this wanton destruction of school property.

Pff how come the actually magic perception goes all wrong just because it is difficult to master and same goes for red magic.

The best magic in this era is the one that easy to handle and but worse potential ever.

Generic plot, generic characters, but as long as it doesn't drag itself down I am in.

Technically, I think this is the 3rd time I've read a series with the magic knowledge getting all distorted like this, the 1st one being Shikkaku Mon no Saikyou Kenja, and the 2nd one being The Reincarnation Magician of the Inferior Eyes. Both of which work better than this one so far, so I'm gonna wait and see if it gets better after a few more chapters.
@Blackbird Which is similar to both the other series I mentioned. It seems like it's going to become the next big cliche, like isekai. Unless it already is, I haven't actually read every reincarnation series that's come out in the past 8-12 months so I could've missed it becoming a cliche.

I don't understand why these authors want to write characters that are too brainless and dumb to even get basic overly common information... it's even worse when the MC was original OP and knew he was the strongest, so even during eras of huge power, he'd still be OP and far from normal...

I just want to see an OP MC get a harem... why do these authors have to complicate things >.<

That's becoming cliche so fast it's frightening.
Now, I'm waiting for the same starting block, but then the reincarnated magician is indeed in a future where he has a lot of catching up to do in order to get on par with the new era.
And hopefully that wouldn't be solved by reading books for a couple days.

This can be written in different ways, where some of his problems can addressed with his old knowledge, or he has to learn everything from scratch... His knowledge could be completely outdated, or lost but still relevant, or both the old and new would complement each other leading to creating a whole new style...

There are multiple interesting ways to address this, so why does nobody even try?
Instead, everyone just use the premise as a cheap way to justify the MC being op from chapter one, leading to an overly cliche story.

There are so many holes and jumps here and there since the beginning... While i dont wanna call this is a trashy isekai/tensei, the poorly executed background or setup is seemingly fairly enough to justifying it...
But then again, I'm a sucker for isekai/tensei, so yeah, follow for now...

Bruh I know that those who fall in love so quickly with a person who comforts them are the ones with the worst self-esteem, but this is ridiculous. Just one chapter? pfff whatever

Screwed up magic system.

"HEY! He's a white! He'll be worshipped as a god!" "Ew! A Gold. Down to the depths of Hell with you!"

I swear, there's always idiots in certain eras that screw nations and systems over, just for a laugh.

u know what, im not dissapointed at this manga, i was waiting for a new magic academy manga and even though it takes the same premise as Misfit of Demon King Academy its not ridicilous enough to have a new born turn into an 18 year old in a month, it wouldve been better if the pacing wasnt so rushed to get them into the school already and instead had devolopment of the character from his past life more and then reincarnate but its no point looking back now, ill just enjoy reading this

Isekai (or reincarnate in the same world) has become the gerne for people who want to be that special somebody that they can only dream about. Just having a harem is not enough to please the audience, the self insert gotta show off how op/skilled/big brain they are while looking cool in front of the crown so the self insert people can stroke their ego.

Also his face at page 12 is the epictome of cringe if you ask me.

@chaonightmare I get that, and that's fine... it's good to let off steam and have fun... but the issue is when the MC is too dumb...

This is what someone else told me, but I like the analogy. The modern Isekai is more like popcorn or candy. They are treats to enjoy, not meals.

So I'm completely cool with what the authors do and it's interesting to see how these authors use similar tropes to make something different.

But I think there should be a limit to when the protagonist is just too dumb.... even if there is a dumb OP person, they should be a side character and it should be pointed out how dumb they are.

The MC is put as a genius, but is also being overly dumb...
