This was a weird transition to a flashback when the plot was just about the King's birthday ball. And i was convinced her first man was someone else! The artist had some inconsistencies with Duke almondite cuz he didn't have the same clothing/hair (e.g. black & gold collar) as the "mystery partner" (e.g. red collar) in the 1st chapter.
