The problem with this Ichinose Kotomi knock-off's logic is that it assumes similarities between male and female thinking that have been historically shown to be false. Even putting religion aside, men and women have consistently shown different capabilities and have taken on societal roles based on their respective strengths.

Lastly, it is not 'white-knighting' for a man to protect a comparatively weaker woman, especially one whom he considers family.

Yeah, but that was the simpler way to deal with the situation.
Alternatives?
1-he beats the shit out of the two dudes to almost dead while the sister watches. Which, based on her comment, it's likely it would make her (not him as she expressed) feel guilty that MC almost killed someone to.protext her.
2-he runs after the guy to beat the crap out of them, leaving his sister that was almost raped alone on that alley. Obviously a dick move no decent brother would do.

That still does not answer anything tho.
First, The character is just not expressing anything beside when he is horny or cringed. Blud just witnessed his sister getting SA'd and he just brushes it off. No sadness, anger or anything. He just be like "bunch of thugs it is" and move on. And you could say that maybe we just don't know that he was angry but its not even the case because its a manga. So we know what the character says but also what he feels(or we're supposed to at least ).


Second, since when do you need to almost kill someone when fighting ? I'm pretty sure bro could have just punched one of them once or just push them and it would've been enough. What would they do ? fight back ? mf was hurt when mc started to hold his wrist so I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have done shit. I do understand the argue of not wanting to fight right in front of the sister or whatever but not at all the 'almost kill someone' thingy because its just not in any cases here necessary and no one talked about doing this.

When he initially surprised the guy and had him by the arm he should have either damaged the guy's elbow (he had the wrist and could have slammed the elbow from behind) or face planted him. No additional beating required.

I will NEVER understand how Japanese mangakas think. They're probably so anti-social that they really don't have any idea how regular people would interact in such cases. There's no way a brother would just nonchalantly grab their hands and let them go free like that. This would be a situation where someone is going to have to pry me off from killing this guy kind of situation if I ever witnessed someone SAing my sister.

Actually, i would not acuse the Japanese of the logic girl archtype.

Its kind of a trope of old sci fi.

A Character, most often female who is really smart and gets ostraciced by society, shields themselves by acting superior to human weakness, ignoring emotion in favor for logic and reason, they often want to escape their weakness and are pretty related to transhumanism and gender issues. Imagine like a human who is trying their hardest to convince themselves they are a Vulcan.
