Okay, I think I get it.
She assumes the naturalistic view, reducing everything to neurochemicals and hormones and the like. The problem with that would be similar, then, to those who assert that life is nothing more than matter. "Only matter matters," as their saying goes.
Squishy robots.
That presents a real problem: Why should we then trust our thoughts, which are not themselves composed of matter? To te naturalist, thoughts cannot truly exist.
Frankly, I think that she's just hiding behind her 'intellect', using complicated concepts and words to protect herself.
