I recognized the Art Immediately. Honestly putting aside the author's other garbage manga.

It seems like in this manga; the author is already immediately trying to place the MC in a 5 way love pentagon with the sisters. The sisters and other brother all seem to care so much for each other but the only one who gets to shine in their hearts the most in the mc. Why? Well the author is doing his best to paint the mc as that guy who is always there for the sisters, always looking out for 'em.

The problem for me specifically is, if everyone was always looking out for one another and grew up with that strong sibling mentality how on earth did any of 'em fall in love with the mc? [I know I just said it was cause he was always there for 'em but like that's not enough for me lol]

I know they painted the young black haired girl, who showered with the mc, as having another confession incident when they were younger. BUT if that's the case shouldn't have every sibling back then properly squashed any and all of those confused feelings the sister had? Like they full on believed they were blood-related siblings back then. So that situation should have cemented the idea of the mc being off the plate. And even if they failed to convince the younger sister the other sisters should have definitely been like, nah we're blood related so that's a no go bro. And they would've been like we grew up together yada yada.

So now, EVEN if the "father" said they weren't blood related, then the sisters definitely should've been indifferent to caring about how that impacted their situation. Like the mc even goes "it changes nothing".

Also it's rather creepy knowing that he is leering at his sisters' body while preaching he cares for them as only a brother would. Like if he just comes to terms with "they're just chicks now but I still care for them" I wouldn't be so creeped out. Also it's bizarre how much the other male sibling is really trying to get the mc to realize they're not blood related anymore so all's fair game. Like I know he mentioned he never saw them as siblings at one point in the manga, but still it's rather weird to me who much he's pushing it. [In some way I know he's the character that will probably be there to push plot]

There's so so much more I wanna break down from the chapters but I'll leave it at that because I'm to lazy and you guys don't really care [as you should. Honestly having to read this much is already asking for a lot]

All in all I gotta say this the best manga I've ever read. Just kidding! :dogkek:
A 6 outta 10.
And thats me being generous, because as I'm reading I'm noticing more of the authors old habits bleed in to this manga.

Why isn't this tagged as harem? I mean it's clear that none of the girls have any interest in Shion and it seems like he already has a girlfriend named Yuu. The guy is only there to serve as Arata's confidant when it comes to his harem. So why is the harem tag not being used here Mangadex?

As for the manga itself; it's your basic 5 out of 10 harem manga. The fact that it uses the already tired "You've been raised together as siblings, but it turns out you all are not related by blood" trope doesn't distract from it. In my honest opinion, if this manga was not written by someone already established in the industry (in this case Rent-A-Girlfriend's mangaka) this would've been treated as another disposable ecchi harem manga.

The thing is though; the author could've avoided this pitfall by having Shion actually be an active participant in the romance aspect of the story. The thing that made me want to read this manga was not the pseudo-incest angle, it was the idea of there being two male leads.

I read the first chapter and was getting a read on Arata and Shion. The former is more wound up but also a responsible type of guy while the latter is more nonchalant about what he wants and speaks his mind without being confrontational. The fact that the two were different enough had me intrigued. I figured that this would lead to both sons having varying reactions to their situation alongside the girls dealing with their fluctuating views on one or both guys as prospective love interests.

But as I read on and saw that only Arata was having romantic moments with the girls, I realize that Shion was only the "Tomada" of the story. My interest in reading the manga for the actual story proceeded to dissipate.

I know this is a harem manga and the appeal of these kind of stories is for the male lead to be just a stand-in for the reader while he goes on various stock, visual-novel style, dates with the girls. So, adding a second male lead may ruin the immersion aspect of the story for some. But think of it like this;

We all have read dozens, if not hundreds, if not thousands, of harem manga where a blank slate main character gets himself into various provocative scenarios with his assortment of waifus and nothing of narrative consequence happens until the final chapters of the story (if even that). But how many of those manga actually involved a second male lead for the girls. A harem manga where it's not just one guy being the only option for various girls while any other guy is treated as persona-non-grata in terms of romantic prospects. Where any of the girls could have conflicting feelings for the male leads and vice versa. Have the story put a better focus on the characters and their connections to each other through this sort of conflict.

Don't just have the story consist of a group of interchangeable girls having a surface level infatuation with the male lead followed by a parade of upskirt shots and bathing scenes. We have countless manga and hentai that already serve that function.

Why can't there be a manga in the harem genre that's at least somewhat different beyond some cheap gimmick like incest or the 31 quadrillion types of isekai?

Maybe there is a harem manga like that, and I just haven't found it yet. I was hoping this manga would be that. Turns out, it wasn't.

Who knows though. There's only 26 chapters as of this comment. Maybe the author will have one of the girls show interest in Shion and this love-whatever the fuck geometry term is applicable here will get more complicated and the story will get relatively more interesting than its contemporaries in the harm genre.

But I highly doubt it.

This shit is actually terrible. I thought this would have a different gimmick than other harem manga, an interesting read even though I don't actually like harem manga. I knew this would be incest harem bullshit, but then so he had a BROTHER in the mix, and that seemed interesting.

It wasn't. They do nothing with the guy except be there for pellets of exposition and wisdom. MC is a massive hypocrite and his sisters are all fucking idiots.

What a shitshow.

Reiji didn't learn from his mistakes. MC is literally the same as Kazuya. I swear if I see him blushing one more time... ONE MORE TIME REIJI, ONE. MORE.

I caught up just now in a few hours and I gotta say this series is so self-indulgent and gratuitous that it's evident the author has some sort of fetish and that they get their bang for their buck for the excessive fan service, but I will admit that the pacing and story is compelling but I hate that they have to mention the ethics of them being sisters every fucking chapter mannn. It's formulaic with each chapter but with different scenarios, and I do admit it's fun to read while turning off my brain and getting visual stimulation but this series is so damn silly
