The art is absolutely gorgeous, and the world building is fantastic! Highly recommended as a unique magical adventure story

I happened to stumble upon this series but it turned into a 2 hour binge. It’s weird to say though that my one issue is how short it is. I appreciate a narrative that doesn’t deviate or bloat the experience, but this felt like from start to now, it never stopped sprinting. With how quickly things resolved, it felt like years of pent up tension built up with each character meant very little, and only served to be minor feel good moments without any stakes or weight to the conclusions

It seems to be reaching its conclusion soon, but maybe if this series is ever revisited, each character could possibly have a more in-depth look into their goals, their passions, their justification for power, and their redemption

I can't stand mangas where a brand new character that the MC has never seen before comes in and acts like they've known the MC for their whole life. The MC was about to destroy those antagonists in second(?) chapter but then she gets up and starts spouting bullshit about how his soul is pure and how he should restrain himself. Instantly dropped this garbage after seeing that.

Can't bring myself to like it. The world feels vaguely interesting, characters are likeable (though shallow), and the narrative hits all necessary demograhy tropes, but the story execution and pacing (especially) are awful. It's the author's first time flying solo, in an unfamilliar medium to boot, and it shows.

That said, I also really want her to succeed. She's talented, hard working, appears to have genuine passion for contemporary 'otaku' culture (though her interests seem to lie more in animation and pure visual design rather than comics), and has good hustle about her when promoting her works (which is rare for Japan).

...I don't know. At the very least the series appear to be doing well, so good for Maya.

Dropped it around chapter 15, if it gets better later I won't be there to find out.

binged this manga in 2 hours and ive gotta say this was a decent read.
the art was beautiful and the characters were interesting as was the plot and all the character drama sadly it all felt extremely rushed midways, as more and more characters joined the story and had their own backstory that had to be explored and resolved.
Maybe this was also a part of the charm of this manga, even if the motivations and resolutions felt rushed it didnt stop me from feeling for the characters and we didnt suddenly lose focus of the plot.
The last chapters actually made me sob lol
