Anyway he can't exactly die until he knows what's going on. Plus we aren't sure where his current save point is. Probably after he got the locket from Rena? Would that be before or after the Marquis dies? Honestly it would be best to go all of the way back to the undead battle with Gis, especially since he has a more specific message to give her, but what would that do to Rena's completed scenario? His current situation is pretty darn complex to do a death reset.

Once he knows for sure what is going on with the imperial palace then I wouldn't mind him having a redo.

So, when did Miura started writing this as well? It was always a dark story for sure, but this is going Berserk level of darkness at this point.

That said, I agree this is not the right time to rewind. Skellebro at the same time knows too little and too much: it is obvious that someone extremy skilled is using the worms to replace people in key places and it is quite likely that the imperial family is all wormy now. But that is pretty much all that he knows ... the who and why are not evident, so a reset now would be not that useful. The issue is that they now know that Skellebro knows ... so there will be a reset soon anyway

Now, why didn't they just replaced the Marquis? It would be far less suspicious than what they did ...Well, apparently Skellebro will need to eat his words and actually investigate all that wormy business in the capital. Before of after being killed ...

Just so you guys know, the reason that its not being picked up by any of the mayor translators is that there is an official free translation at tappytoons (https://www.tappytoon.com/en/comics/skeleton-soldier-failed-defend-dungeon) still, its far from the current translated chapter
