@HermesPasser Apologies for the late 9 month later response, I hope you don't mind. Basically she was "polishing her gem", making her into a supposedly better exhibit. It's not logic that I and probably you would really understand, but it is pretty standard serial killer logic from what I know. Also she didn't think anyone from a professional maid service would be a threat, and she was also very cocky and sure of her ability to get away with it. So I think these aspects make sense in my opinion.
