this author + artist combination is so good, together they're able to really enhance each scene they try to portray, and they do it both so beautifully. this mind scene was really warped and done well! I feel so bad for gu ze like i could really feel how disoriented he was from just the panels! never-mind the text that comes alongside them! i think that this arc is super important, because we're really seeing how gu ze is forced to deal with his problems by facing the consequences of his actions. he can't stay content with how he acted in the past, because he wants to change. I think gu ze wants to become a better person, but subconsciously his issues hold him back and now he is forced to acknowledge them. but the way it happened is so heartbreaking! like i know he was harsh to her, but also reading this hurts
