So which of these two is the dumb prefect and which the girl with the short skirt?

I jest. It is interesting to see the dads essentially becoming the (platonic) side couple in a romance manga. Not something you often see. I thought the younger sisters were heading that way but feels like ages since we've seen them.

I wouldn't call 2 dudes yapping about their money management a "story", but you have your own standards no matter how low it is.
Money management is a common issue and is probably relatable to most readers. Exploring how these characters tackle it gives us readers a better understanding of them, and builds their characters.

I don’t know what your standards are for it to be considered a “story”, but the chapter does tell a story, in fact, it tells a story within its story.

Besides, what they're yapping about doesn't even build anything that isn't already established in previous chapters.
This chapter starts off with them in an awkward place after finally realizing that they are the fathers of their children’s partners. It relates to previous events, while also helping them resolve the tension between them by having them bond further over common ground.

Moreover, THIS point in the story is not a place they should be building anything, if anything they should be packing up their story instead.
We’re 69 chapters in. Even though it’s monthly, this isn’t necessarily the point to start wrapping things up. Even then, the premise of this chapter, like I mentioned earlier, is dealing with the reveal that their children are dating each other which marks a pretty significant turning point in their relationship, and the resolution of a long standing plot point.

Like, last chapter was enjoyable. It was a faux-conclusion for the rat's character where the author shows that the character was willing to accept someone. This chapter tells nothing, and nothing was developed or changed.
There’s nothing wrong with having your own preferences, but you’ve seemingly failed to see the point of the chapter simply because you don’t like it.

Nothing changes because they’re currently dealing with a previous change. The chapter references and builds on previous chapters while also revealing new details about these characters. It develops their relationship and their characters.
