@drakedog You do know the more science we do the more it supports this right? If you cut open peoples heads the brains differ in ways that are reliable and understandable, atleast as far as brains science is understood.
I mean its all just words anyway. What you call people has no bearing on reality. Its just useful to use names for things.
Point is at which point do you draw the line? Is it when we have mastered genetic manipulation to the point we can literally change people into other people right down to their genes?
Also the philia stuff has always been right on the edge of reality. Disorders have always been prone to abuse and have historically just been things people don't accept or understand. Being gay used to be widely considered a mental disorder by actual scientists no different from any other disorder. It turned out to all just be bias. Also S&M is on that philia list so i guess you consider that sick as well.
I think you should just accept things for what they are instead of labeling them with words that imply wrongness. In the first place disorders and being crazy just mean your different from accepted norms. If everyone possessed one of those disorders it would just be normal. Its all relative.
I think you need to think more about why something is wrong before deciding that it is. I mean you defeated your own argument a bit by saying "men who cut off their dicks" when not all who claim womanhood will ever have the surgery or inflict any physical harm on their genitals. IS plastic surgery a sickness to you? Any kind of body modification? Just ask yourself why these things are wrong. A good rule of thumb is whether it hurts anyone or not. If its just different from the norm your going to find most people are "sick" in some way.
