@themoobz Yeah, ciao is a "goodbye" borrowed from Italian... Perhaps it was too European of me to include that 😅
The original said "bye-bye" (as in, the actual word borrowed from English), but she already said "good bye" before that in Japanese, so I didn't want to just have her repeat the same thing.

Why change it? I just don't understand why some translators do this. "Bye-bye" has been part of the Japanese culture for a very long time. It's used by Japanese teen girls because it's cute and being cute is of utmost importance in Japanese society. "Ciao" just doesn't cut it. You could have used a different font and/or even included a footnote to indicate that she actually said it in English.

Damn. I think a better outcome would be if they were actually mistaken about meeting as kids and dated each other regardless of that fact.
