@deathmailrock the issue is that his goals right now are to be stealthy and help his brother, and her openly helping him is making that really difficult. it's like if you're trying to be a spy but your celebrity friend is butting into things and dragging you into the paparazzi. Hell you could just be normal and your friend is a celebrity but keeps publicly being around you. it would be another thing if she was just hanging around the MC at his house or something, but nope, she is PUBLICLY ENDORSING him, making him literally public enemy #1 when he wants to fly under everyone's radar. He has said multiple times that he doesn't want to be emperor, so the actions taken by the token tsundere are antagonistic to the MC by definition.
@Tatsuya-Kai I have no issues with the character herself wanting more from the MC, but that's what SHE wants HIM to be, not what HE wants for HIMSELF. I get it, and it's not malicious which makes it annoying, but almost every story has the side characters want the MC to be or to do something with (often) little care for what the MC wants. It just gets really boring, especially when the MC in this story has the means to achieve his goal: get his brother to be emperor. I just wish these stories stop having the side characters tell the MC what to do. It's cool if the characters help guide a lost MC back to the original goal if the MC got off track, but the MC's goal from the very beginning was to make his brother emperor, and the token tsundere is literally derailing the plan knowing that the MC does NOT want to be emperor.
I get that it's a trope at this point and it's "just an isekai" so I'm not expecting the highest quality literature, but having some variety where the MC actually has some agency and isn't just the punching bag for the side characters. Because now, if he decides to later on become emperor, it won't be his decision, it would be the token tsundere's decision for him (along with any other character that pushes him towards it).
Like c'mon, the whole damn story is about the MC wanting his brother to be the emperor, and a new character gets introduced that immediately and completely IGNORES the MC's clear wishes and pushes the MC away from his goal, and you guys just accept her, whiles she is being literally a pseudo-villain character by going against what the MC wants, because "tsundere"?
I know weebs like eyecandy but I also like good stories with good, balanced characters that contribute to the story.
