@Belkin - Gaias wasn't fighting anything particularly eldritch. He was frustrated he couldn't go to space and fight eldritch abominations because he wasn't strong enough. He did beat all the ground-based monsters, and genocided those he didn't like.
Mathias also doesn't bother bragging about which spells he has made himself, but he is good enough to make "enchantment specially for Ruri's weapon #1 through #5", so chances are, some of what he uses are his own inventions. But I think most of the spells he is using at this power level are common sense in his past era. Except there are hints that Mathias was out of touch with common sense even back in the past (as shown by him being the only one who can read dragon veins).

@ultimatehaki - either she specializes in fighting water monsters, or it's actually a relic from Mathias' age, with enchantments that make it rival proper armor (which was considered just an ordinary sexy swimsuit when it was made).
