@Lomeno @smercholeg - Cruz was always a girl, but she was easy to confuse for a boy. In the novel, the author used a classic trick of concealing her gender for a while. It only became apparent when the villagers started to complain about them having a bath together.
The hero party was MC's harem party, apparently.
