The amount of isekai and slow life mangas just indicate that many Japanese feels like their real life sucks so bad. Figured since there is no work-life balance in Japanese working culture. Their working culture, full of pressure, long work hours (even on the weekend) and overtime (which may or may not get paid), is basically life-threatening (look at the number of people died by overwork). They are learning to reduce the number of death by limiting overtime hours to max 99 hours per month (which is basically working an additional 5 hours every working day and they called this a work-life balance already). Lmao. Crazy.
