I KNOW RIGHTTT
ALSO ITS SO HARD TO MEET LINK CLICK FANS AHFNAJSNJCJSKALANZNA

LC is literally such eye candy and has such an awesome ost
And i swear i would die for wu guang or cheng xiaoshi
And the plot is soo good
It's been a while since I watched such a good series
Cuz like once i watched ep 1 i couldn't stop watching lol

And also if I'm not mistaken the LC manhua and donghua follow 2 separate stories right??
I LOVE both the OP and ED. I break out into song whenever I see the album cover 😭. My first time watching it, whenever I had to get up and socialize, it was near IMPOSSIBLE to get me to stop smiling because I was thinking about whats going to happen next. Justice for emma

The manhua has the same type of feel to S1 episodic stories, but theyre different stories. I think its both in the same time line too, just covered ones we didnt see in the donghua. ALSO, didnt know if you knew, but theres also a live action Link Click! Completely different timeline. It def has a different feel from both but as far as ive watched, its good. Maybe 8.2/10.

Istg i dont understand anything anymore
Hi hii I want to give my two cents, people as they do are trying to fit things into boxes, something must be one thing or the other which really does not work with a story whose whole theme centers around not only the complexities of the human identity but also of love and affection. point being Hikaru and Yoshiki's relationship is incredibly nuanced and messy, it's not quite romantic, not quite platonic, not quite sexual but it's a fluctuating thing that the two of them are figuring out as they change themselves and their perceptions of each other, especially yoshiki's of "hikaru" as he is still grieving his friend.

and yeah people are having a hard time grasping this without simplifying it into something bite size but to boil it down as just gay lovers or best friends is irritating to see, but it's less so homophobia and more so internalized shame regarding sex/sexual exploration (but yeah this problem is literally exclusive to tiktok, the most minuscule micro climate of people so it's not something i really care about in the long run)

Haha
You actually summed up most of the comments me and another person posted in this thread.
You worded it waaaay better than I did.

Also, when I said I said I didn't understand anything, it was mostly just the simple question of
"Gay or not gay?"

And you can read the earlier comments in this thread and see why I was so confused.

Forgive me If I'm not making any sense right now, I just woke up.

this manga actually deeply affected me
i often throw around the phrase “altered my brain chemistry” when it comes to fictional works but the characterization of hikaru and yoshiki are actually too good. author isnt just a master of psychology but also show dont tell - the panneiling and even the use of sfx to sound suffocating - the translation of that into the form of visual art is so impressive

ALSO THE ART IS SO GOOD? its one of the most consistent ive seen - from the end to the beginning. the characterization through the nuances of preferences down to clothing and even skin tone and expression is soo UGHHHHH
this initially reminded of summertime rendering and strangers by the sea but the depth of this is actually on another level (the other 2 series are still really good but as someone who really values character driven stories this is amazing)

I was going to comment that alone but I looked into things and saw that I can buy chapters on kindle for 2$ each

I saw someone on tiktok saying it was bc the team felt "queerbaited" with how the author "gave up" on the explicitly BL narrative??? not sure how true this is.

as a Hannibal (NBC - 2013) fan, i feel like sometimes a queer horror story being left to subtext only improves it. and i feel like other hannibal fans would really enjoy this manga too.

regardless of whether this is true or not, with either vol. 6 coming to the west, or the anime coming to netflix in a few months, hopefully we'll get a new translation team excited about this project!!! fingers crossed.

Btw hi amazing people of this forum I had a question does anyone else think that the tanaka guy (tall man) is the nice spirit medium lady's son I think her name is rie or smtg. She had after all mentioned that her son got deeply scarred from that incident and tanaka is both blind and has weird scars on his body.
Just wanted to know anyone thinks the same

queerbaited is crazy work because it is still a queer story, just not a bl 😭 but then again as you said the reason could untrue. Even if this team chooses not to return I can accept that, I just hope someone picks it up again.

I haven't seen NBC's Hannibal but I've been in a few different fandoms that were similar. I agree with what you're saying tbh. Atleast the anime is coming this summer!!!

yeah saying it's queer baiting is crazy
I really like that their relationship is more nuanced and it's still a queer story and at it's core I'd argue it's a story about love, just not romantic
and that is something I adore

Hello, everyone! I'm back here 1 month later to say I found this website that has up until chapter 31!! i think the manga is in chapter 33 now? (i may be wrong) so this site is a bit more up to date.

The scans are of a bit lower quality than the ones here in mangadex, but it's better than reading some rough translation texts on tumblr!!

thank you so much for this!! Also, anyone interested, pls use an adblocker. Safest way to navigate these lesser known sites. You can get free ones on your browsers extension webstore.

I'm surprised almost no one has realized this, but YenPress have been doing a free simulpub for several months now and the simulpub is why the team dropped the scanlation.
The chapters are temporarily free (in America, at least) on digital stores like Kindle, Apple Books, etc. but become paid after a while.
