Enthralling from start to end. IMO it deserves way more attention. Should be required reading before a marriage.

I can tell how good a manga is by the number of time i reread it and i can tell you that's the third time i read it througt and it won't be the last.

Truly a hidden gem. I recommand all the other series by Kyougoku Natsuhiko as well and i can't wait for the last one to be translated.

A true masterpiece of literature, even in Manga form! I am only sorry more people haven't discovered it...but hope they will. An excellent author who tackles some very deep wells of humanity, thought, religion, consciousness, and so much more. An amazing & mesmerizing story teller...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

THANK YOU you to the Translator, scanlation team for believing in this work & bringing it to us!!!

This is a good, engaging yarn, but I'm not sure it entirely qualifies as a 'fair' mystery.
The twist that the body's been on the floor the whole time, but several people have been mentally blocking it out, does not work as well in the manga as it did in the book. The book simply doesn't mention it being there, but the mangaka drew an empty room, showing the floor. And the final twist of 'abused so much she developed multiple personalities and the family has some traditions about a hereditary genetic disorder' is very meh as explanations go, and feels like a cop-out.

It really does nail that 'something is very wrong here, but what?' feeling the whole way through, and lays a smorgasbord of intriguing red herrings out along the way.

I am only at chapter 5, but I have to rant that the MC is so annoying, keep thinking with his dick. It put me off so much that I dread continue reading even though I really want to get to the bottom of the story.

And he is fucking married.

@hal0t For your information, Sekiguchi is not the MC. The MC is Kyogokudo Chuuzenji Akihiko. Sekiguchi is just the narrator. In a way, he is similar to Watson in Sherlock Holmes where Holmes is the true MC.

For posterity: since the translated novel is almost impossible to find, if you're interested in reading it,
send me a message. The "flaw" of the mystery works better in the novel since it's Sekiguchi's first-person perspective
and he's nothing if not an unreliable narrator. Like the scanIator said, the translation is great to read and brings out
a different tone compared to the manga.
