A short but compelling biopic on the life and life's work of Jirou Ono, war veteran and Michelin 3-star sushi chef. Quite the legendary figure, and as of this Christmas Day in 2025, he is 100 years old and still going! Although he's stepped away from running the restaurant in the last couple of years, and his sons are superb chefs in their own right, he's still perfecting the taste and flow of the omakase. Sushi is a tradition in my household for the holiday season (the cheap stuff), but one day I'd love to try JIRO's nigiri.
