However after getting married he couldn't conceive for a long time, and the tradition of their house demands that if the current head doesn't have a child they must adopt one from relatives...and so he forcibly took Philia from her mother.
Ah, I was going to say I couldn't understand why the parents would harsh so much on the daughter they trained so diligently. NOW it makes some sense. They're still scum, but at least there's a logic to it.

Sometimes in stories like this, the parents will abuse one of their children 'just because', like the disliked how smart the child was or something.

About that
Even the parents being trash have their reasons (it's not a 'good' reason, but it 'make sense' why they treat Philia so badly)
ok i need an explanation for that.

the fact that they trying to widraw and destroy her book that also helping people understanding the weight of danger Outside is seem not just favoritism matters at this point, what grudges they have to their own daughter bruh

This is just like a female version of that barrier master manga. Both have home nations that are extremely terrible to the MCs and they themselves thought they weren't good enough until they switched nations and literally became god on earth.
Barrier master manga ?? Name please ?

Well, it involves a pretty big spoiler, so be warn.
The father has looooooooooooong felt jealousy/inferiority complex towards the aunt who's Philia's real mother.

While the aunt was out doing her saintess work back then, he kept spreading lies about her and eventually their father took his side and disowned her.

However after getting married he couldn't conceive for a long time, and the tradition of their house demands that if the current head doesn't have a child they must adopt one from relatives...and so he forcibly took Philia from her mother.

But once Mia was born, they no longer had a need for Philia...and her looking exactly like her real mother probably was triggering his past memories.

After training Philia (she couldn't officially act as her mother so the best she could do was train Philia to be strong enough to survive) she enter sorta retirement.

Philia will call upon her to help with the situation later though.

As for the parents, they will get their punishment, although due to priority of bigger shit to deal with they're just arrested along with other trash nobles (and the clown prince) for now.

I’ve read a light novel or two like this. Poor Philia, I hope that shitty prince and your parents rot in hell.

So, you're basically saying... that they threw away the most powerful saintess of the generation, someone completely loyal to them, and stopped publishing a book that was not only a freaking betseller, but also probably the best academic text for saintesses. I don't know what reason the could have to throw away that money machine except seer idiocy.

The aunt is the one who trained Philia when she was sent out to train as saintess, and she didn't tell her their relation then.
If Philia herself realized it later, she certainly hasn't mentioned it.

Man, while I know the prince is a lost cause, why were her parents so awful?
Happens irl.

For example in Football you have Marco van Basten one of the historically bests out there who couldve been the best of all time if not for his injuries. In his biography "Basta" (its over it means), he tells on his family dynamics with his dad who has this patriach feel to it. he paid way more attention to Marco rather than his older sliblings:

Small summary:

Marco was the youngest but was the most talented interms of football (soccer for US dummies :3). His father being a football fanatic put like all his effort into his youngest at cost of his elder sister and brother. The sre no grievances between the sliblings for example his older brother did say he was proud of his younger brother but the absense of attention of his father was felt. Their mother was caring but didnt know what to do and the love between mother and father was gone by Marcos late teens. So basically a troubled family

Yeah, I'm guessing in this story it is just fawning over the youngest because the ignored sibling in this scenario is the one ignored.
