@Roxanneayy In chapter 6, because they are mixed blood, they were kept hidden as not to be used against The emperor; killing them to remain invulnerable to his enemies was option he had, but could/did not take. Unfortunately their mother was a right bitch and i imagine used them as leverage to keep him from seeing them and checking up on them, as it was touched upon that their mother some sort of contract and secret... Hell, even the second prince had to sneak into their old grounds. It's currently baseless, but I imagine he believed their status as royalty would protect them in some way shape or form from their mother, but he was wrong. In that same chapter, after all, he questions whether it was the right decision to have them hidden away with their mother.

-On my first read through as i post this though, i sincerely hope the next few chapters don't make me look like a fool.-

@Niddhoggyr I honestly hope that is the case- a decision made from love but I'm still skeptical of that—

especially since the intro of their Guardian. I forget when he gets introduced so I'll just hide in a tag. I have nothing against the Emperor now but his motivations are still questionable to me in regards to the twin's past. Even the 2nd prince is not out of suspicion for me.

@elinertia42 is right, I want at least 1 cuddle scene by the end of this book

But I was right when I said they were surrounded by lunatics. Real ass lunatics, the lot of them. Does lunacy run in imperial blood?

Theyre being targeted? For all the words and slander people lay on them for being illegitimate, the twins are important enough to be targeted like that

@Tomonoshi They are being targeted *because* they are illegitimate. They are a "Disgrace to the empire" and "Should be killed". It's EXACTLY what the Emperor feared would happen to them. Thus he sent them away and hid them from view. But now that they've been brought into the limelight.. they are no longer safe (relatively speaking).

To be honest this shit actually annoys me because the two main characters are reincarnators and don't realize what the hell happened in that room. If a room is all torn to shit like some psycho came in and went to town... the Emperor is pissed at a maid and is now moving you into *his room* the only LOGICAL option is "someone just tried to kill you two but missed the timing" this is not exactly critical thinking skills here. Like I said. this story would be soooooo much better if they just got rid of the "we're actually 20 years old but reincarnated" because at least then I could understand how a 5 year old wouldn't get that "torn up room... being moved into a different location= someone tried raiding this room to murder you"
