Honestly I just want them to say "FU*K OFF AND LEAVE US ALONE" to the Emperor and to run off to find someone who actually cares. They're gonna be miserable in the palace, alone and being only valued for the fact they are related to the Emperor.

To me there's absolutely no redemption for the father. WHO TF ABANDONS THEIR CHILDREN AND THEN TURNS AROUND AND STARTS TO CARE FOR THEM!? IDGAF what the author reasons why the father led them there without at least checking to make sure they were ok.

The fact that they don’t seem as traumatized and fearful as you’d expect is a bit offputting. Like they know that they’re weak and defenseless 5-year old kids, so considering their past abuse at the hands of Rurahel and the maids you’d expect them to be visibly terrified of any stranger that approaches them. They should be more visibly on guard, like cats yknow? The fact that Arien just let that guard pick her up or they just watched as these maids filed into their room doesn’t feel right, because they don’t react to these things that should definitely elicit some kind of a response that’s not just confusion.

Also Arien seems more MC-y than Arjen since we’re privy to her inner thoughts more, which is a shame :/ ik that’s the standards for these mangeas but if you’re gonna have twins as the MCs it’d be nice to have more insight into Arjen’s thoughts and feelings about everything too. Again, he’s not nearly as reactive as I’d expect him to be, considering everything he watched his sister experience.

I really don't understand the scaring thing. Earlier, when Rurahel hurt Arien, her wounds quickly healed. So why are there scares on her body because of Rurahel? The healing seems automatic, so why didn't it heal? Makes no sense.

And that brown-haired guy from before, I think he might be an aide to the emperor or something, maybe he even let him know that his kids are being neglected (haha, as if the emperor didn't neglect them), and the guards weren't there because Rurahel died but because this guy's report on the twins.
Maybe.

I want to see how the emperor will behave during dinner.

@pirouettes They did say in an early chapter that if they didn't have memories of their past life, they would have gone crazy by now. They were somewhere between 18-20 before reincarnation so they at least have some mental fortitude.

I can stand the other fluffy manhwas, but in this one the siblings were abused so bad and were practically thrown out by their dad. I'd be pissed if it ends with their father turned good and all is well. I wish they could just escape the palace.

My assumption is that the mom just hit them so much the healing rate was slower than the beating rate so there were scars after. The slap on the cheek and the blood looks like it was shallow
