Anime adaptation is not bad, however i doubt it will reach the manga one (50+ chapters), so for now, the manga is the only visual source more close to the original novels.

Not sure why Timeless scans slowed down on releases for this series, and now we have a 3 chapter gap, as Raw is at ch.55 (previously we used to get new translation before next new chapter dropped).

Needing more money to buy raws for multiple series, not enough staff, and keep up motivation are some factors to consider.

I think if I remember correctly, but I might be thinking and mixing with other j-novels, is that the village is supposed to be the village of heroes, but they got too powerful and did something that got them fully bona fide uber mega cursed to never improve combat skills...
but as you can see that doesn't really stop them at all.

Without re-reading (so take these with salt)... it's heavily implied to be a village of retired heroes, sages, and legends. I distinctly remember that in a Hildegard flashback, the apotechary used Panacea leaves to treat common cold because it's easier than making different cures for different ailments.

I dont think the curse of not improving combat skill was ever mentioned/implied so far, so either youre mixing series up, or that's a spoiler. Not that that curse would matter anyway, since the entire village is already at the pinnacle of power...
