Aside from the Sage part (it's implied, but not stated to be his "ninja" former party mate's boss.), that's pretty much what Kuruto has said already without understanding how strong everyone actually is. It's not a big reveal for the readers (Chapter 36-37). And he is technically one of the weakest humans at combat. He's "strong" by the technicality of skills being applicable to other instances.

He's the Count's assistant, the one that asked Kuruto to make more Hot Springs buns for the meeting with Lise earlier.

They're going to feed the buns to the debt collector and it will consider it a fair trade, just watch.

There are several reasons (all of which you should be aware of by now, if you had paid attention during the series).

Let's list the two of the more prominent one's:
She wants to protect him from becoming arrogant (and also protect his innocense) due to realizing that he's more "powerful" than basically anyone else around (apart from probably the people in his village).

She wants to avoid (as much as possible) for his power to be widely known because he could get tricked/used/harrassed/targeted etc by influential people (or even use/target people around him).

We know it is a different village, because it regularly changes location.
But the ranger from MC's previous party did mention a Sage.
