So why does mc spurn the magic academy in favor of a military one, all of a sudden?

@Lockiebobin

I can't remember the bullshit reasoning they gave for doing it, but honestly, 2 months just to finish a single chapter, like geez. I don't know if they're padding it out so manga can get farther ahead or not, but damn they do this with each manga they TL.

The knowledge of magic has deteriorated, so the academy has nothing it could possibly teach him. It would be like a IRS accountant asking a child to help with their taxes.

I usually dont mind splitting chapters into parts. But 6 parts for a single chapter is pretty ridiculous.

"HOW DID THINGS COME TO THIS HONESTLY?!!"
said the masochist sage who could destroy the entire world just by farting.
This is gag manga i get it but since he wields so much power its not really that funny and convincing.

I'm just reading the comments and I'm just sighing and shaking my head at how little people paid attention to the first chapter. He dedicated his life work to researching and building magical knowledge that could be useful for everyone. This future, everything he ever worked on and for has crumbled into loose stones. There is literally nothing for him to learn, teach or research because that foundation isn't even there. He can't learn anything because this is all basic magic for him, he can't research because he would just be rediscovering stuff he already knows, and attempting to teach would require rebuilding the foundation of the magical system itself. It would be an entire generation before he can advance magic again and that would just lead to him repeating the same mistakes as the past.
