The gray bubble is obviously colored like that to indicate someone else's talking (the witch): "Who's granny?" / "Don't call me granny" The SFX is "sob", meaning she's trying to act hard.
Untranslated bubble, because OCR couldn't get it: "Gran-"
"Wouldn't it be fine if you just called her normally?" (took a bit of liberty with this one, but that's the rough idea).
