In some other series, FL 'not having magic' turns out to be because they actually have holy/divine power and that requires different method of detection/usage.
And in those series mages and priests don't get along so daughter of a magician family would never get tested for divine power or get close enough to a high rank priest that they'd notice her divine power.

The other person in Kaye's demon lord memories was probably a goddess and currently in similar situation inside Ada.

Even the backstory of union of light and shadow being forbidden might in truth be about the demon lord and goddess.

Do not worry, we shall apprehend Prof. William, says the guy who let the criminal get in a "you haven't seen the last of me", climb out of a window, and just make a run for it.

No, I'm pretty sure the students will just have to deal with it, as per usual.

Spoilers for Chapter 38 (I read ahead on Tapas)

You're probably both kind of right.

It later gets revealed that the Demon Lord was once the Goddess of Darkness who ruled together with the Goddess of Light. The Godess of Light eventually gave up all her magic to her human followers (or had it stolen, that part was a bit ambiguous) and faded away. This caused the Goddess of Darkness to tread on a path of revenge against humanity.

With Kay clearly being the reincarnation of the Demon Lord/Goddess of Darkness, this indeed heavily implies that Aida is likewise the reincarnation of the lost Goddess of Light.
It also makes it quite likely that her ability to disrupt magic is the result of the Goddess of Light having given away every last shed of her power and thus either losing her connection to it entirely, or having become capable of absorbing magic back into herself.

In chapter 57 it gets revealed that Kaye's adoptive "mother" actually has the Goddess of Light's memories (not her soul though, so theoretically Ada could somehow have that. But it seems unlikely based on how the story's been going).

But this setup was not stated here. There's other series that the mc who can't use magic actually have anti-magic powers instead. I think that's the case here.
