Thank you for the update!
Buuut sorry translators, I'm not buying that she cares for her daughter at all. To me, it comes across as she's pleased with her as long as Tia diminishes herself for her sake, does her bidding without question, and is pleased with her. So far it looks like Tia is nothing but a tool for both her and her brother. A mother who cares wouldn't constantly insult, demean, and abuse their own daughter. Those outbursts did nothing to endear her to the reader tbh. It just showed a further reflection of how narcassistic she really is. It implied if things don't go EXACTLY how she wants them, then she throws a childish fit. If she actually showed some genuine understanding or affection for anyone other than herself or Lawrence's potential future then I would be a little moved. As it stands, wealth and status are her only loves. I don't even think she feels genuine towards the emperor or her son since aims to become empress/empress dowager through their legacies.
On another note, Cedric is smooth af.
