I. LOVE. THIS.
I know it's cliche, a villainess having an all-powerful servant because she isn't powerful enough, but the world building so far was jut excellent. I adore that there is a time god, that he is all-powerful, that she is sure enough that she wants to change herself to get through this ordeal. she tried escapism, but the plot makes this situation she can't run from! how wonderful!

"No one has ever developed the idea that the vilainess would win against the main character. "

Whooooo I love this, destroy 'em all! A villainess act like a true villainess is something I would really like to see.

Is this like american twitter users thinking YA novels are the only books on earth. Girl read a book that's not a fairy tale.

...I never thought I’d say this, since I’m typically biased towards kmedia (bc i’m korean), but I like how chinese fiction does this trope way more...?
I mean the whole “villainess steals spotlight from heroine by actually being villainous” thing. The “romance novel FL with grey morals/iffy ethics” thing.

I mean. Most cnovels I’ve read that use this trope have villain FLs w great manipulation & cunning. the novels do have their own iffy aspects (misogyny, homophobia, weaponized or “justified” r*pe, etc). But the FL’s villainy is usually self-directed, autonomous, independent in a way that Ayla’s is...not. 😔
Their machinations are self-wrought & they’re more likely to use others as tools/puppets than be used by them.

& to make this worse, the man that is going to guide/groom/“Make” Ayla is apparently the ML, & her love interest. 😬💀

I can only hope (in futility🥲) she has a period of reflection & growth apart from Sebastian, learns to act & scheme on her own, recognizes Sebastian as a potential threat, & is recognized/respected as a formidable foe/ally by Sebastian himself.
I can’t imagine enjoying a “romance” where Sebastian is still her defacto backbone/puppeteer.

But that’s all unlikely to happen. So I’m personally just left feeling icky about this set up.
I’d feel 500x better about it if the one guiding/“making” her weren’t her male love interest... ☹️ I think I’ll just skim through raws to see if I wanna stick with it? 🤷🏻‍♀️

@JWChibi yup the best part is that in order to keep throwing it off, he had to have put it back on. When imagining it the image becomes kinda stupid looking lmao

@ohkimch it did have the chinese manhua vibe to it but --i dont know what it called-- the overall line on how the story in each chapter were written is better. That is also the reason why i prefer korean rather than chinese. In chinese some time the story line just going to fast and does not make sense , that its not exciting anymore to read it. Although one of my top three story to read here is chinese, most of my reading list is still korean.
And i have high expectation on this one!!!!

lowkey expecting Killian to say "Yes, My Lady." Fufufu. Black Butler vibes is strong in this chapter.
