I mean, it does make sense that he would act cold and then try to win her back given the circumstances.... But at the same time, the way he is going about this is all wrong!!
He knew she didn't want to be with him, and yet he pressed his engagement with her!
I feel like I'm prejudiced against him because of his awful eyes XD If he had better eyes, I wonder if I would be able to muster up a bit more pity for his situation? Assuming his explanation is actually true....
I wonder what happened in the novel? Everything seems to be backwards now, but is that because the forces of the novel refuse to let things change easily? What with what's-her-name suddenly acting as the villainess... I want to know if she had a fowl personality in the novel too, but different circumstances allowed her to act in a different way, or if she is actually different from how she was in the book?
