When Yus mentioned her not suiting purple, and said she’d fit with a softer color... that pause and panel with a closeup of Ran’s face right before he said a softer color was probably meant to indicate he thought she’d fit green better, green being the color of her eyes that was being shown in that panel. He also probably didn’t outright say green in case it became too explicit with intention.

Also, symbolically convenient that the duchess of Lachia wears the viridescent crown, a green color. The spring that brings life to the cold brutal blue winters of Lachia... the color schemes were thought out 😅

The story is screaming Yus and Ran endgame couple for the deafest of deaf pals out there.

Side note, I’ll never get over the fact that they technically had a half brother they’re both related to. Convenient plot wise that the baby of the family died, otherwise Yus and Ran would have a harder time being portrayed as NOT a family. Still, the younger half brother was innocent unlike the parents so I feel for the little guy used by the author and then killed 😔

The timing is sus, but let's all remember that he already asked the Shadows to look into Count Illuminity back in chapter 26, so he wasn't specifically doubting Ran in this chapter. Plus, back in chapter 26 he was generally more wary anyways. He's just reaping the rewards from planning waaaay in advance from back then; the timing of additional information was pretty good for him. He's also not looking into RAN, he was looking into the COUNT. That probably doesn't amount to much, though, since he knows that Ran by herself can't do much - the duchy resources are hers temporarily and are pretty transparent to everyone, and she doesn't have any specific group of people under her that aren't also loyal to Lachia and thus Yus.

Plus, if anyone were in that situation, I'd think Ran was acting suspicious too. I'd like to know rather than not know what's going on if there were the means.
