Kind of feels like these recent chaps where originally made with the intent that they would be the 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 format by the author.

But they decided to pass them off as full numbered chaps instead.

Yeah exactly, it's real annoying the last series I know that did this was The Boy Who Had Been Continuously Burned by the Fires of Hell. Revived, he becomes the strongest flame user and that was axed halfway into an arc. It also had that issue of alot of chapters for no progress.

all the heroes will die, could just mean, that they have no use for heroes in the forseen future anymore. if normal classes can defeat evil thanks to blacksmiths, heroes would no longer need to carry the brusk, form the lead and be forced to play that role.

I always like plot points like this because it's like "oh, time to guess what goofy way the future-seer misread the future!"

When an author would really, really love to have a prophesy in the story, but at the same time doesn't know what to do with it, so it's made pretty much useless and only works when it happens to work, in other words, only when it exactly suits the simple plot.
