I’d say Insomniac’s version of MJ was a lot worse.
• She literally used Peter to get ahead in her career, more than once.
• Voluntarily puts herself in serious danger, more than once…
• Wrote a hit piece on Peter when she knew he genuinely tried to protect her. While also forgetting all of the times he’s saved her life, especially after their breakup.
• No Felicia (she’s already in another relationship…) or Gwen (doesn’t exist) to provide poor Peter any form of salvation from this manipulative monster.
• Villains always use lethal weapons on Peter and Miles, but with MJ they only use non-lethal weapons or approaches. Despite the fact that MJ has constantly proven to villains she’s an annoying problem, keeping her alive accomplishes nothing. Makes even less sense with Kraven and his blood thirsty gang.
• She aired out Peter’s dirty laundry to the whole neighborhood and anyone within earshot. And he still loves her…
• And worst of all, MJ took way, and I mean way too much screen time on Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2, would’ve loved to see more of Venom…

I'm shocked, and gladdened to see character growth, but I feel like people are missing out on that he's waiting out there without knowing if she will show or will accept his explanation is the biggest thing he's done this chapter. He's realized what he's done and committed himself to actively fixing it, but the only action he's taken so far is this right here.

Unfortunately for Peter in Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2, Felicia is in an offscreen relationship with a woman; making Peter forever stuck with the literal worst version of MJ…

When I saw that she wasnt coming, I was actually hoping that she just wouldn't come, which would make MC give up on her. Then he can try having a normal relationship with the better girl.
