The ending doesn't feel like one at all. Nothing is resolved, no questions are answered... It's not even like in some surrealistic, symbolic story, there are no clues towards the actual meaning and I honestly have no idea what message would it try to convey. Definitely much, much weaker than I'd expect from the creators of Utena.
