When Maria's hair changed color she retreated inside her mind and embraced being more like Mon (and she wasn't affected by her family's deaths in the slightest, outside of the truth Toshi revealed)
I wonder what was fundamentally different about them, where they both underwent different changes with the same impetus (Mon).
I'm also trying to grasp the significance of Toshi's black hair (that he dyed) when compared to Maria's white hair.
