Not sure if this is what will happen, but this a strong play by Clive to let Jenna decide if she wants him to be her attendant to the coming of age party. With no money on the table, neither side owes anything to the other, and I would imagine if anyone else appears that Jenna wants to court, that will be the end of their agreement and Clive can walk free. Probably wishful thinking on my part.
