No, its actually kind of low imo. Even if you dont count tokyo or any big city. The average wage nowadays is 1050¥ (25% up from 10pm )for low skill work like yamato( delivery service, just pure picking and sorting items), convenient stores clerk or restaurant server, which requires no skill at all and basic understanding of japanese ( thats why a lots of foreigner students are hired here, cheap stuff ). Recycle shop requires a lot more skill than those above jobs. In recycle shop at Saitama, the average salary for 1 shift part time is 1600¥ per hour. 🤑
