But.... all she wanted was for him to go home with him.... she literally did nothing wrong in this case...

I don't get why he is getting angry for. The girl didn't say/do anything to push him to stop his current job or move to another place or whatnot.
I think the only underhanded comment about his stuff came from his mom in a previous chapter.

@cor3zone I understand that, but I still wouldn't get mad at someone over that. The biggest problem I have with it is that it honestly seems a bit out of character for him. He never really showed any of these traits through-out the story so far

@cor3zone But in the end, she never did anything wrong; she just wanted him to come with her. That's it.

Like, getting mad at someone for wanting something is kinda silly...

One could argue that her whole "do you like me, tee-hee?" spiel from a few chapters ago might've just been a seduction strategy rather than genuine.

@Glenng
Imagine you are unhappy with your current life, but determined to continue struggling. Imagine someone you trust planned to change your entire life 'for your benefit', without your consent. Imagine they never told you, after months (I think?) of living together.

This entire situation was forced on him, and to me he never really seemed comfortable with it. And now he finds out there was actually an underhanded plan driving it all, that he never knew about. I would be pissed too.

@deathmailrock
The problem is not her actions or intent; it's that she was dishonest from the start.

@Glenng the problem is we got too litle of the MC psyche about his job until recently. But from what we got only from this last arc, he feel like Francesca laughed at MC choices, like how he got mad at his mom... in the end with how little we got before, this looks more like a tantrum than actually feeling hurt by what she did.

@cor3zone That makes no sense; she just had an offer for him. Nothing less, nothing more.

That is it; she's not forcing him or putting him in a bad place. It's just an offer.

And they knew that the living arrangements were temporary from the start.

It would benefit him, has no consequence, and he can easily say no.

Hell, not stating her offer wasn't dishonest.

I'm sure that someone wanting to bake you a cake but only offers to bake you a cake a year later would break your heart.

It's not just an offer. The whole reason she wanted to move in with him in the first place, was so he would want to follow her back to Italy. At least that's what it seems like. And she never once told him. A lie of omission is still a lie.

That's bullshit. This is more like someone moved in with me, lived with me for a year, and then they tell me they only did that so they could coax me into accepting a cake I never wanted in the first place.

holding my opinions on Yuji's reaction until they show why he stopped painting, unless it's really just because it's financially unstable

It wasn't just a simple offer. She moved in with him with the intent to bring him to Italy and she never told him about it. This was the point of dishonesty.

And who's to say it would benefit him? What if he doesn't actually like oil painting? So far, people has been looking down on his current job. Moving to Italy and changing careers would also mean he would have to let go of his connections.

@cor3zone here is the thing; she's still just giving him an offer. It is literally nothing more than that. He can reject it if he wants, and he can accept it if he wants.

And all he did was temporarily loan a room to her. And she never coaxed him. She just gave the offer only when she was about to move out.

@jonsmth But here is the thing; he can just say no. Simple as that. And she did it when he knew she was going to leave anyways. She isn't forcing him, she's done nothing to trick him into accepting the offer. She did nothing to imply his job was bad or try to manipulate him.

Just that when she's leaving, she's leaving him an offer.

Those who can speak Spanish have even chapter 40 translated into Portuguese. They are languages of the same family, practically cousins. Not cousins so close in the sense that you wait for your parents to leave the house and invite her, and you're alone and... Oh yeah. You know what I mean.
