Considering hes known for being fair. I can see him creating another challenge. At least I hope considering the situation and this way we wont run into the cliche of oh you win because blah blah good. Hes a business man first and foremost after all.

@Keimichi Agreed. Too many novels/mangas have such a shitty original heroine I wonder how the heck they managed to get the male lead in the (original) story in the first place.

No, he's a nobleman first. Business is a side gig. She looked after the people (ie, the taxpayers), so he's got room to say she did better. Plus, he never outright stated that the heir would be whoever made the most money.
