What a bittersweet ending 🥺

How is this bittersweet? It's sweeter than any cake or delicious treat. Everyone grows old and dies eventually, it's inevitable and not the least bit scary, and inevitably in a relatively at least one will outlive the other. They were together from childhood all the way till the end, loving each other. Nothing could be more beautiful or sweet than that.

Myuria dying jumpscared me until I read further. She was a proper villainess. Like, of course a duke's daughter could straight up just disappear someone below a certain rank. She was also ready to just stab a bitch.

This was a sweet one. We don't get the man's POV often. You also get the sense that they're a good match. The other girl was such a footnote to the story that things might have been better if we just got more time of the two of them showing off their chemistry.

I liked this chapter a lot. I think I would have liked it more if the rival female character were more integrated into the story OR removed. She seems kind of random in this iteration. I don't think she contributed to the plot much more than MC's flashbacks about being kidnapped and targeted for his looks.

The part where they grow old together. You don't get to see that much.
