Coming from jump, the series is rather heavy, mc
might be the one getting fucked instead in this timeline
, good read so far, great art as well. Hopefully it wont be too drawn out to be flat.

Dududuru!
Save Mayu...Aino!

Also the guy is scum for stealing the story, I want him to suffer more guilt. Yes more imo.

Like i said on Reddit, i don't really like to see manga such as this one on JUMP, because they're a BIG chance to get cancelled early, and you have to compete with neverending series.

I actually like this serie and i would absolutely buy it, but it seems it's not for the japanese "taste", probably because the main character isn't OP and is not a perfect guy since the beginning.

This manga would be better in a magazine were the axe is less usual, such as monthly magazines, or anything other than Jump.

If Steins gate was a manga at first and not a visual novel and was published in jump, it would be cancelled after 10 chapters, because literally nothing exciting is happening in the beginning.

@Siquall I definitely agree. This is a really enjoyable series, but I worry that it's a poor fit for WSJ's audience even if it, like Bakuman, is fundamentally about WSJ itself.

The WSJ paradox has always been that its competitive system drives authors to create fresh and exciting works, but also punishes anything too inventive as far outside the mainstream.

This is axed already, Japan hates it with passion.

@Nasuro @Sugioh Demographics of magazine and magazine don't matter. They hate it so much that there are multiple hate threads about it on 2chan daily.

Watching steins gate rn and it’s pretty gud (but a little confusing)

I just finished the 11 chapters so far and it’s really fun to read

I’m praying this doesn’t get axed, I hope Japan actually gives it a chance

It deserves the hate. But it’s Shonen Jump, the editors are most likely to blame.

@bastek66 I was going to yell at you and say that you're full of crap for saying that demographics don't matter, but I looked at the data and in this case I honestly think you're right.

I was actually really surprised at how much it changed from the last time I looked at it. It's skewed much older over the past 10 years or so; over half of readers are currently 19+ years old. 10 years ago, nearly two thirds of the readership was under 14, now it's nearly a third of that. Japan's low birth rate explains some of that shift, but it's still an eye opener.

It was a good idea, but the author decided he had to redeem the MC, no matter the cost.
Which is understandable, because it was a mistake making him
plagiarize (without a reason but desperation)
and then interact with the girl.

@bastek66 I'm curious why this series is so hated? Is it simply because it's a bit different from most Jump series?

I'm surprised the series is hated just for having a protagonist that gives into temptation. It's such a believable, human weakness, and it isn't like he feels no guilt over it.
