To the TN, the problem with SoL series live this is that the main couple finally getting together is almost always an indicator that either the series is coming to an end, or that the writer is going to use some cheap drama to rugpull the situation and put it off some more.

Memory loss, injury, a new rival, family circumstances, it all happens so often that "oh look, they're happy" triggers an anxious response because we're waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Honestly I didn’t read the comments on the last chapter. But I just did now and pretty early I saw “hit by a truck” and I went “aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh”.

That gave me a giggle. But yes I see that trope as well. Where doomed yuri is today’s yuri.
