Not trying to blame her or anything, but I genuinely don't understand her feelings and reason to avoid her friends.
I mean, I'd certainly feel sorry if one of my friends/classmates' family member is hospitalised.

I think I understand, she feels as though they were forced into her situation. She doesn’t feel as though they care about her because she overheard the conversation
