I can see him being frustrated and disappointed with the situation, plus he's still immature, but that still was really cold. I can't believe he asked her why she would risk herself for kids she has nothing to do with. To me, seeing that situation, how could she not do something? Then he also rips his hand away from a pleading, beat up kid? Then he also refers to him as an eyesore? Yea, that strikes me as a quality of character issue rather than simple immaturity in a moment.

Well until this chapter I kinda liked the friend, I thought he was nice but that's not the case.
