Setting change. Nice. Was kinda hoping they'd go the route of a later time. One of the things I liked about the Phoenix series with an immortal was their view of different times

@KatoShuu Yeah, that's what happens to her. They don't show it directly so is a surprise and eventual plot twist when the horse shows up to actively help Fushi (back when he ends in that swamp). But I think they state it at one point or at least imply it enough for it to be obvious. And Black Hood agrees to her plea to help her become something useful to Fushi, and when she does die and they are together in some... whatever the hell that was, he asks her to picture herself as young (which she does and that's what you remember).

As for the language, I think is a reference to the language they spoke in Renryr. Think back to when Pyoran was teaching Fushi how to read and write, the characters are the same. Is kinda weird it looks like arab or smth like that but is meant to be a fantasy language yet the setting is clearly mimicking that of your average japanese high school lmfao.

This manga is the perfect example of something great becoming utter shit at an alarming rate after the author ran out of ideas.

Lots of different comments on whether this is great or bad or whatever. I think it's nice that the author is trying out this approach instead of getting stuck repeating similar stories with slightly different twist over and over again. This way she is able to try new things/stories in a modern-like world but we lose the old medieval/fantasy world which might not appeal to many people. Still to early to know how it will play out since only a couple of chapters has come out (as of writing this). Looking forward to see what will happen.

I wanted to see more from Parona and the other. How they lived their lives and their end, but I'll assume they lived peacefully.
And apparently Fushi wants to bring them all back into the modern world. That will be interesting to see.
The Hayase bloodline keeps living on.
